Consulting, auditing & reporting

IT Consulting, Auditing and Reporting, Melbourne

An IT audit gives you an independent, plain-language account of what you actually have, what condition it is in, what it is costing you and what should change first. It is the starting point for every sensible technology decision, and it is how you stop paying for things you do not understand.

Most businesses have never had anyone look at the whole picture - the hardware, the licences, the subscriptions, the risks, the single points of failure - and write it down in language the owner can act on. That document is the deliverable here. What you do with it, including whether you ever use us again, is up to you.

Included

What you get

Infrastructure audit

Every server, device, network component and service catalogued, with age, condition, support status and known risk.

Network infrastructure consulting

Design and review of the network itself - resilience, segmentation, remote access, and what a site outage would actually do to you.

Cost and licence review

What you are paying for, what is duplicated, what is unused, and what is mispriced. Often the audit pays for itself here.

Risk and continuity review

Single points of failure, backup adequacy, recovery time, and the honest answer to "what happens if this fails on a Monday?"

Business technology strategy

A prioritised roadmap - what to fix now, what to plan for, what to leave alone - tied to what the business is actually trying to do.

Reporting you can read

A written report in plain English, with a summary for the owner and detail for whoever implements it.

Managed intelligence

How the platform changes this

When the audit moves into ongoing management, the same findings become the platform’s baseline: every asset it catalogued is then watched, every risk it flagged is tracked to resolution, and reporting becomes continuous rather than a one-off document. The audit is how we learn your environment; the platform is how we keep knowing it.

How managed intelligence works

Who it is for

  • Owners who inherited an IT setup and do not know what is in it
  • Businesses about to sign a large technology contract and wanting an independent opinion first
  • Organisations preparing for growth, sale, merger or a compliance requirement

Straight answers

Is the audit a sales pitch for managed support?

No. It is a fixed-fee, standalone engagement and the report is yours. Some clients use it to brief another provider, some to manage things internally, some to engage us. All three are fine outcomes.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on the size of the environment; a single-office business is typically a short engagement, multi-site or server-heavy environments take longer. We scope it and quote it before starting, so there are no surprises.

Will it disrupt our staff?

Minimally. Most discovery is done with monitoring tools and a small number of short conversations. Nobody needs to stop working.
